JAHMINGS MACCOW & E-Rif USA West Coast Tour

The West Coast leg of the tour was opened at The Underground on September 13, 2009! A small, dark, gloomy club in San Francisco, with poor lighting and a sub-par sound system didn't stop JAHMINGS from entertaining the masses. JAHMINGS and his band opened the show with "Everywhere I Go", a medium, up-tempo, roots-reggae song; which refers to the dark mindedness and bad intentions of some people.

Two days before the show, JAHMINGS was interviewed on KPOO Radio, in the Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco by DJ Francesca. On air, he was asked about the meaning of his song title "Everywhere I Go". His short answer was, "My National Anthem!" What he was actually referring to is the True One who will come and standup and defend what Rasta is really all about; and about the war that will be waged against the True One and his principles! (Revelation 17:14)

The song was originally recorded in 1980 in New York City and was released in 1981 as his second single. Between1980 -1984, JAHMINGS earliest releases were all singles. During that time period, JAHMINGS was touring the East Coast and a few Caribbean Islands promoting these songs, when a diabolic figure, who heard his first released track, "Rebels" on the radio approach him and asked, "Are you planning on releasing these songs on the radio?" JAHMINGS, knowing the man's evil intensions, replied vaguely to him, "Not really." From that point on the man and a few of his cronies working in radio decided to work together to keep JAHMINGS off the air waves in their area. They even worked to follow him around the globe to try and stir up trouble in other locations! Shortly after this series of events, JAHMINGS adopted "Everywhere I Go" as his National Anthem.

When the band hit the third song "Man Redemption", The Underground was getting crowded. Next, the band performed "How Ya Gwaan Crucify" and "Scamper Dread!" By the time the band performed "Pay The Price" the place was rocking! The group closed the night with "New Way", the perfect song to end the show on a great note! Overall, the show was a memorable night for all in attendance.

Special Thanks to everyone from JAHMINGS MACCOW & E-Rif, for coming out to the show!!!
