Sones de mexico ensemble enters latin music chart

Sones de Mexico Ensemble, 2007 Best Folk Album Latin GRAMMY® Nominee and 2008 Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album GRAMMY® Nominee, enters the Latinos Unidos Hits Magazine Latin Top 50 Cumbia/Punta/Tex-Mex Chart at #16 for August/September 2011 with new hit JUAN SIN TIERRA from their latest album entitled, VIVA LA REVOLUCION! (Sones de Mexico Ensemble, Inc.). VIVA LA REVOLUCION! is the group's fifth album and is a musical tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution containing classic revolutionary songs from the early 20th Century and contemporary tributes to this historical period.

Available at music retail outlets worldwide with a circulation of 50,000, the magazine's charts are compiled by Latinos Unidos Record Pool, the oldest and most respected 'all Latin music pool' and regularly determine which products and merchandise many retail music outlets buy and sell. Latin GRAMMY® and GRAMMY® Nominated Sones de Mexico Ensemble Chicago is a premier folk music ensemble specializing in Mexican "son", including the regional styles of "huapango," "gustos," "chilenas," "son jarocho," and more. The group formed in 1994 to keep the tradition of Mexican "son" alive in its many regional forms through innovative performance, education, and dissemination. As a performer and recording artist, the ensemble has developed and popularized many original arrangements of Mexican traditional songs.
