The Workmen's Circle Mixes Jazz, Activism & Gourmet Cuisine At "We Are Activists" Cultural Seder March 21st

New York, NY - Hundreds will gather for an "unorthodox," strictly Kosher musical and cultural celebration Sunday March 21st at New York's Congregation Rodeph Sholom for the 77th Workmen's Circle Passover Seder. The theme will be set by an original Haggodah with progressive activist themes.

Spirited musical performances will set the tune. Master Haitian Drummer Gaston Jean-Baptiste ("Bonga") famed for his pan-African rhythms will join Frank London and Greg Wall, the "jazz rabbi" of Sixth Street Community his Unity Orchestra. Yiddish singer Adrienne Cooper, cabaret performer Joanne Borts & many others will also perform.

Said Adrienne Cooper, Program Director, "We are honored and delighted to be joined by such illustrious performers. Following our recent Jewish Artists for Haiti Concert, it is particularly wonderful to continue our commitment to Haiti's rescue as we celebrate the historic liberation of our people, and mark its important meaning for us today."

Performers:Haitian Drummer Gaston Jean Baptiste, "Jazz Rabbi" Greg Wall and the Unity Orchestra, musician Frank London, Yiddish singer Adrienne Cooper, author Jayne Cohen, international recording artist Cantor Amy Goldstein & many others

Where: Congregation Rodeph Sholom 7 West 83rd Street (betw. Central Park & Amsterdam) New York, NY

Donation: Min. $125 donation, personalized "We Are Activist" journal contributions encouraged
