George Federic Handel, though more important in the fields of opera and oratoria, composed 17 harpsichord suites, solo sonatas for flute, recorder, violin and oboe and trio sonatas. His orchestral music includes 12 concerti grossi, 12 organ concertos, 6 woodwind concertos and the well-knowm Water Music and Fireworks Music.
