Question Informal Poll: Best way to listen

I used to listen to classical a lot more when I was younger, but I could never figure the best way to listen to it. Should it be background music when you're reading or doin somethin else? Should you sit and listen to it explicitly? Does it depend on mood? I never could quite hit a method of listening where I was like "this is definitely the way it should be done."
Happy Listenin

I think that it all depends on your mood.
Sometimes I find myself listening to music I hate most of the time.

I studied classical music as a kid.
Back then i hated it, i was 8 or so and just wanted to play rock.
Now i love it

For me the best way is to concentrate on it,
hear all different instruments, hear the structure in the seperate parts.
Hear how the melodies get explored.

Instrumental music can be listened at all times. The best time to listen to it is;

A. When you are reading a book and are in a quite room.
B. When you sit down to relax or are lying down.
C. When you are out for a meal with a very small group of people, then it is good as background music.
