DALLAS, TX -- January 6, 2010 -- Singer/songwriter Floyd Tolston has released his new single "Redneck Cheer (Fall Down Drunk)," the title track from his new album, "Redneck Cheer." The single will impact radio on January 21, 2010.

"Redneck Cheer (Fall Down Drunk)" is a song that radiates feel-good vibes throughout.
The storyline follows a guy begging his newly-wedded friend to go drinking with him as they did before the marriage and "fall down drunk." There is wistfulness to the piece since his friend has to say no, but even then, Tolston is able to spread his redneck cheer through his music.

Both the album and the single are earning rave reviews from program directors throughout the country. "I just listened to the new CD from Floyd Tolston, and he has hit a homerun!" said Jay McRae, KGFY program director in Stillwater, Okla. "From front to back it is well produced and sounds fantastic. 'Redneck Cheer' should be a huge single at KGFY and country radio."

"Redneck Cheer" is the follow-up to Tolston's 2009 charting single, "Lookin' Back at Luckenbach" from "Something Special," his debut album. "We are very excited about the much anticipated 'Redneck Cheer,' said Bryan Farrish, Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion. "The Music Row country music radio stations loved Floyd's previous album release, 'Something Special!' Looking back at the meteoric rise of 'Lookin' Back at Luckenbach' from that album, we are lookin' forward to even more success for 'Redneck Cheer!' said Farrish.

Tolston, a native of Brownwood, Texas, has always defined his music as real country. Hints of Kris Kristofferson's voice and Merle Haggard's storytelling combine in this album which emits a uniquely Texas feel. "Redneck Cheer" delivers pure country throughout its 11 tracks. "'Redneck Cheer' has a more traditional country sound due to my songwriting and the backup musicians," Tolston said. "It's just the direction that it took." His songwriting shines with catchy lines and phrases. The songs go straight to the themes of country music, through bars, dancehalls, heartaches, friendships and failures all set against danceable, sing-a-long country rhythms - the kind that you keep humming long after the party's over.

"I just love this guy! I know for country music lovers, Floyd Tolston is as real as it gets these days! A real winner again!" said Scott D Soderberg, operations manager and program director at KAUS U-S Country 99.9 in Austin, Minn.

Since the release of "Something Special," Tolston has scored regional and national attention. The album went to No. 21 on the Roots Music Report True Country Chart. In addition to producing "Lookin' Back at Luckenbach," his first national charting single, "Something Special" contained his classic "Wal-Mart Lovers" and "Everybody's Got'em a Song." In 2009, Texas honky-tonker Ed Burleson released "Mexico," a cover of "Everybody's Got'em a Song."

"Floyd is an entertainer and storyteller. Often times about subjects no one dares approach but we all consider," said Justin Frazell of The Justin Frazell Show and Texas Red Dirt Roads at KFWR in Fort Worth, Texas. "Whether he sings his songs with deep messages or sings those others just to have fun, it's a refreshing and unique approach I have enjoyed over the years."

Music Row radio promotion is through Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion, Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion. Additional radio and industry downloads are available at Airplay Manager Broadcaster Services and airplaydirect.com.
