Cheerful is...
Doing things for the ones you love,
Encouraging them to strive for their goal,
Helping the needy in times of stress,
Feeding the hungry in times of distress,
Guiding a child in his world, free of terror,
Seeing through his eyes, nature's beauty and wonder,
Running in a brook where the water is clean,
Or in a field where the grass is green,
Throwing stones in a pool, so shiny and clear,
Listening to the wind at night, without fear,

Yet cheerful is…
Being languid, doing nothing,
sprawling or lazing around,
your mind empty, worries forgotten -
you're like a clock unwound.
