Jason Derülo is certainly having a week to remember. On Tuesday, he released his sophomore album, Future History, his second single "It Girl" is currently #15 on the iTunes charts and he's been hitting the gossip columns with news that he is dating season six "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks. The two young singers were spotted in West Hollywood after a night of celebrating Derülo's 22nd birthday and instantly the rumors started swirling.
So are they or aren't they? Well, we sat down with the R&B star to find out if he currently has his "It Girl."
"I don't," Derülo said. "I'm single. I'm looking for that special one." So he's single and ready to mingle? "Yes, absolutely," he said.
Well, ladies, it looks like you still might have a chance, and lucky for all you fans, we asked Derülo what you need to do to win over his heart.
"My 'It Girl' is somebody who is selfless, somebody who's not thinking about herself all the time, but just caring about what others need," Derülo revealed. "I think that's really sexy ... and somebody who likes to have a good time. I'm kinda crazy. It would be nice to have somebody who's kind of into that."
And if you're fortunate enough to become Derülo's number-one girl, he already has your first date planned out.
"I think the most beautiful thing to me would be breakfast on the beach as we watch the sunrise, because the sunrise is very beautiful and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day."
